Ava Starz’s Cheeky “Fun to Ride” Caption Next to a Black Raptor Has X Blushing

Ava Starz did not need a long caption. At 10:20pm on Wednesday, October 7, the Gold Coast influencer dropped a single photo on X (@Ava_starz) and let thirteen words do all the heavy lifting: “One of these is fun to ride, the other is a black Ute.”

The photo explains the joke. Long blonde hair down, a white cropped tank, frayed white denim short shorts, black heels and a gold necklace, Ava leans against a jet-black Ford F-150 Raptor — “RAPTOR” stamped right there on the door — in a concrete car park. Nothing on show that Facebook would blink at. Everything implied by the caption. That is the art form.

X got the hint fast. By about 9:55am Brisbane time on Thursday — under 12 hours after posting — the post had 24,858 impressions, 1,023 likes, 96 replies, 35 reposts and 92 bookmarks. Ninety-two people saved a photo of a ute. Sure.

For anyone new: Ava is a very real Surfers Paradise local. She works in the casual nursing pool at Gold Coast University Hospital and is studying to become a cosmetic surgery nurse, trains at Snap Fitness Surfers Paradise, trained at Gold Coast Gymnastics until she was 17, and has surfed the Gold Coast her whole life, winning local comps along the way. Scoop isn’t saying whose Raptor it is or which car park it’s parked in — Ava didn’t, and the caption doesn’t need it.

The timing is very on-brand. Ava models and does indie and promo work around the Gold Coast, is locked in for an upcoming Gold Coast house project, and posts like this are exactly the kind of personality-plus-portfolio moment that keeps her name in the Model Search 2026 conversation. Scoop last covered her on October 1, when a blue Snap Fitness sports-bra selfie came with the admission that she works out to eat more chocolate — and best friend Emma Heart has been busy on X this week too.

Scoop’s verdict? Ute: black. Shorts: short. Caption: filthy in the most Facebook-friendly way possible. Ava Starz just turned a car park photo into the Gold Coast’s favourite double meaning.
