Ava Starz Does the Splits in a Tiny Red Bikini to “Get the Sand Out” and X Can’t Stop Watching
Gold Coast real-world influencer Ava Starz kicked one leg to the sky on the beach at Surfers Paradise, and her eight-second clip ran past 53,000 views.
Ever come out of the ocean and found half the beach in places it shouldn’t be? Gold Coast local Ava Starz has a solution, and it involves a lot more flexibility than most of us can manage.
“Just trying to get the sand out..,” the real-world influencer wrote when she posted a fresh clip to X (@Ava_starz) at about 4pm Brisbane time on Saturday, October 31. Rather than dusting herself off like a normal person, Ava dropped onto the wet sand in a tiny red string bikini and kicked one leg straight up to the sky.
The eight-second video is shot right at the water’s edge, with the Surfers Paradise skyline glittering in the background and the waves rolling in behind her. Ava rolls from a high leg hold into full splits, then stretches out flat along the shoreline as the water washes around her. A boat cruises past offshore, presumably with some very distracted passengers on board.
The gymnast is still in there
If those moves look a little too easy, there is a reason. Ava trained at Gold Coast Gymnastics until she was 17, and clearly the flexibility never left. Combine that with a lifetime of surfing the Gold Coast, plenty of local surf comps and gym sessions at Snap Fitness Surfers Paradise, and you get a girl who can fold herself in half on a beach and still look relaxed doing it.

53,000 views and counting
X certainly noticed. By the time Scoop checked in, the clip had racked up more than 53,000 views, almost 3,500 likes, 128 replies, 121 reposts and around 560 bookmarks, according to X’s public figures. Bookmarks, for the record, mean people are planning to watch it again. Purely for the stretching tips, we’re sure.
The replies were a mix of jaw-drop emojis, gymnastics compliments and a few cheeky offers to help with the sand removal. Ava, as usual, let the clip do the talking.
A busy few weeks
It caps off a big run for Ava on X. Last month she asked her followers whether they were scared of sharks in a black string bikini, and she followed this beach clip with another post telling fans, “At that point, just say hi.” With Model Search 2026 on the horizon, the timing of all this beach-ready content couldn’t be better.
Away from the camera, Ava lives in Surfers Paradise and works in the casual nursing pool at Gold Coast University Hospital while studying to become a cosmetic surgery nurse. Her best friend Emma Heart is never far away either, with the pair regularly popping up in each other’s posts, from brunch to jet skis.
