Elizabeth Hurley, 61, Ditches the Bikini Top for an Open Lace Kaftan — Fans Say ‘Unbelievable’

Elizabeth Hurley has once again decided bikini tops are optional. In a set of sun-kissed Instagram photos posted on October 3 to promote her Elizabeth Hurley Beach swimwear line, the 61-year-old posed without a top under an unbuttoned, semi-sheer white lace kaftan — with white high-rise bikini bottoms finished in gold ring detailing at the hips.

HELLO! reported the cover-up had short sleeves, floral embroidery and a row of fabric-covered buttons, left wide open as she leaned against a sunlit wall with one arm raised. A long gold chain with a big pendant dangled down the middle, with oversized drop earrings, tousled brunette waves and smoky eyes doing the rest. Her caption kept it breezy: “I take this kaftan on every vacation — it’s one of my all time favourites.”

Her followers did not keep it breezy. Comments included “Unbelievable” and “Gorgeous still.” The beach drop came right after a very different trip: as a longtime Estée Lauder ambassador, she was in New York for the company’s Breast Cancer Campaign in a parade of all-pink outfits, including a pastel pink lace dress on Good Day New York on October 1.

As for how she does it, Hurley has shared her mantra before: “don’t eat too much, too fast, too often or too late.” Clearly, it is working for the kaftan.

Scoop’s verdict? Kaftan: open. Top: missing in action. Elizabeth Hurley just made 61 look like a swimwear ad — because it literally is one.
