Heidi Klum Gives NYC the Finger as a Giant Bloody Severed Hand for Her 25th Halloween Bash
The Queen of Halloween turned herself into a six-foot replica of her own chopped-off hand, wedding ring and red nails included, then peeled it off for round two.
Heidi Klum has done a worm, a peacock, E.T., Princess Fiona and a snake-haired Medusa. For her 25th Halloween party, the Queen of Halloween went one better and simply gave New York the hand. Literally.
The 53-year-old supermodel arrived at Cathédrale restaurant in Manhattan on Saturday night, October 31, as a giant, gruesome replica of her own severed left hand, complete with bloody tendons, bone poking out of the wrist and a flawless set of long red nails. Only her eyes and mouth peeked out through the gore.
“TALK TO THE HAND ✋ #HeidiHalloween 2026 HERE WE GO,” she wrote on Instagram as the look went live to her 12.7 million followers.
Ring on it
The detail is what makes it. Heidi’s team recreated her actual engagement and wedding rings, plus the tattoo of husband Tom Kaulitz’s name on her ring finger. Nothing says romance like a blood-soaked prosthetic finger the size of a surfboard.
The costume was built by her longtime special-effects collaborator Mike Marino of Prosthetic Renaissance, the same genius behind her viral 2022 worm. It reportedly took around four months to make and five to six hours to get into. Her legs were hidden inside the middle and ring fingers, and one arm slid into the thumb. Handy.
Assistants in blood-spattered hazmat suits steered her down the carpet, and one kept her hydrated by squirting drinks straight into her gaping mouth with a syringe. Glamour, darling.
Then she stripped it off
Because one costume is never enough for Heidi, she later peeled off the outer layer to reveal a second look: a blonde wig, gory face prosthetics and those massive finger-legs still attached. Somehow even creepier, and definitely not something you want to bump into on the way to the loo.
The guest list went full spicy
While Heidi went gross, plenty of her guests went sexy. Haley Kalil poured herself into a red sequin Jessica Rabbit gown, Vanessa Fuchs came as Natalie Portman’s stripper from Closer, and Valentina Sampaio slinked in as Poison Ivy. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were the creepy twins from The Shining, and Heidi’s daughter Leni turned up as Miss Piggy.
Scoop’s verdict? Twenty-five years in and Heidi still has Halloween in the palm of her hand. Everyone else is just fingers crossed for next year.
