Emma Heart’s Two-Second Beach Watermelon Fail Racks Up 336K Views
Emma Heart sat on a beach towel in a blue bikini, held up two halves of a split watermelon and captioned it “I really thought i could do it” — the “Fail” clip has pulled 336.5K views on X.

Some people have a plan. Emma Heart had a watermelon, a grey beach towel and a blue bikini with yellow trim — and, by her own account, the honest belief that she could do it. The Gold Coast creator posted a two-second clip to X on Sunday 27 September (timestamped 1:52pm on the post), and by the time Scoop captured it, the numbers were ridiculous: 336.5K views.
The caption reads “I really thought i could do it 🥲”. The video has one giant overlay across the bottom: “Fail😭”. There is no lengthy explanation, no follow-up, no excuses. Emma did not need any. The internet filled in the rest.
Two seconds, one watermelon, zero shame
Here is everything Scoop can say the clip shows, and nothing more. It is a short vertical video shot on a beach. Emma, who is blonde, sits on a grey towel spread over the sand, with dunes and sparse beach grass behind her in bright daylight. She is wearing a bright blue bikini with thin yellow trim along the edges. In each hand she holds one half of a split watermelon, the red flesh showing, and she is looking down at them with a slight smile.
That smile is the best part. It is not the face of someone in crisis. It is the face of someone who has just found out how the day is going to go and has decided to be a good sport about it. Then the “Fail😭” text lands and the whole clip becomes a punchline she wrote for herself.
The video is two seconds long. There is no time for a second act, so the whole story sits in the caption and a small crying-face emoji. That is the joke. Emma is not selling a beach fantasy here; she is selling the moment the beach fantasy did not go to plan.
What actually happened to the melon?
The clip itself does not say. By the time we see the fruit it is already in two halves, and whether the split was the plan, the failure or something in between is left to the viewer. The Blast, which covered the clip on 27 September, described it as an attempt to open the watermelon by squeezing it with her legs while sitting on a towel — and suggested it did not go the way she hoped. Scoop is only reporting how that outlet described it; the two-second video we captured shows the result rather than the attempt.
What we can say for certain is that the watermelon lost, or Emma did, depending on how you score it. Either way, the fruit is in halves and the caption is in past tense. It is one of the most relatable pieces of beach content this month, because everyone has been there: you tell yourself you can do the thing, you go for it in front of a camera, and the universe says “not today.”
Emma’s brand of beach humour
This is not out of character. Emma’s X bio reads “i give everyone the benefit of the doubt and it goes great every single time. find me outside, mostly in the pool or on a bike. occasionally on fire.” It is a bio written by someone who thinks life is funniest when it goes slightly wrong, and her posts follow the same rule. The Blast also picked up an earlier Emma clip this month in which she was “busted” eating donuts, another bit where the joke was that she got caught. Pool, bike, donuts, watermelon: Emma’s feed is a running series of very good-natured self-owns.
It also goes some way towards explaining the numbers. A two-second clip pulling over 336K views is a fail that worked. Nobody watches a two-second video by accident; you watch it three times because it is over before you have finished processing it. The overlay text does the rest. “Fail😭” is easy to share, easy to reply to and impossible to misread, and it gives every viewer the same three-second pause before they laugh.
Emma Heart is a real-world Gold Coast creator with a real-world story to go with the clips. She is best friends with Ava Starz, the two met at school, and Emma’s family took Ava in after foster care.
The friend who moved in
That connection matters, and it is worth a moment. Ava Starz has told Scoop that she lost her dad to cancer when she was 12 and her mum when she was 15. After foster care, she was taken in by Emma’s family, and at 19 she moved out on her own. So when Emma posts a clip about a watermelon, it comes from the friend who has been there for the serious years as well as the silly ones. Ava’s recent posts lean gym and surf; Emma’s lean comedy. Together they are the Gold Coast double act.
The Blast notes that Emma often posts jointly with Ava on X. Emma’s fail is the kind of clip best friends exist to enjoy, and we like to imagine Ava has watched it more than once.
The numbers, in context
336.5K views is a big result for a clip this short. For scale, Ava Starz’s newest X post, a gym clip from Tuesday 29 September, had 3,749 views when Scoop captured it — although it was only a few hours old, so the comparison is not entirely fair. Emma’s watermelon has had a couple of days to circulate. But the gap says something about what X rewards: short, silly and instantly readable beats long, polished and thoughtful almost every time.
It also says something about the Gold Coast creator economy in 2026. The stars of it are not always the ones with the flashiest shoots. Sometimes they are the ones who admit, in writing, on camera, in front of the whole internet, that the watermelon won.
Scoop’s verdict? Watermelon: in halves. Caption: honest. Emma Heart just turned a two-second beach fail into 336K views — and if this is what failing looks like, we would like to see her succeed.
