Dakota Johnson celebrated turning 37 the only way she knows how — in lingerie-adjacent lace. The Verity star hosted her birthday dinner at West Village hotspot Via Carota in a black Stella McCartney velvet slip with sheer lace panels that, Page Six reported, showed her black underwear.

theFashionSpot described a dramatically low neckline on whisper-thin spaghetti straps, with sheer floral lace running vertically down the front of the floor-skimming gown. She threw a mink-trimmed Nour Hammour leather jacket ($2,120) over the top and added The Row sandals ($890), a Silvia Gnecchi chainmail bag ($1,040) and a pair of Sophie Bille Brahe rings spelling out “D” and “J” — $12,500 each, per Page Six. A long Toteme onyx drop necklace fell right over the plunge.

Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney joined the celebrations, and Johnson’s bodyguard was later spotted carrying a bouquet of pink and purple flowers and a Valentino shopping bag. Page Six noted she has worn the same style before — in March, to a Paul McCartney concert, without the jacket.

The party started on Saturday, when Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live in a red-hot vintage Versace latex dress, W reported, and Taylor Swift crashed her monologue. “Ladies and gentlemen, my literal therapist,” Johnson joked. Swift fired back: “I’m not your therapist, actually. You just show up at my house once a week with an empty bottle of wine and ask me if I want some.” Swift was later photographed presenting her with a blue birthday cake.
