Brooks Nader Flashes Her Underwear in a See-Through Hooded Gown at the CFDA Awards

Fashion’s biggest night in New York called for something daring, and Brooks Nader answered with a dress you could basically read a newspaper through.

The 29-year-old model hit the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday, November 2, in a see-through hooded gown by Australian designer Christopher Esber, with her black bra and underwear on full display underneath.

Sheer, hooded and very deliberate

The piece came from Esber’s spring 2026 collection, SI Swimsuit reports: a black-and-white sheer knit halter gown with a built-in hood draped over her head like a scarf. There was nowhere for the lingerie to hide, and clearly that was the point.

She wore her blonde hair swept up under the hood and finished the look with red nails. Brooks was styled by Marc Eram, with makeup by Jayden Ho Pham and hair by Sky Kim.

A big night at the museum

The 45th annual CFDA Awards were held at the American Museum of Natural History and hosted by Keke Palmer. Ralph Lauren won American Menswear Designer of the Year, Ana Khouri took American Accessory Designer of the Year and Tory Burch received the Positive Change Award.

Brooks had plenty of competition on the carpet. Alix Earle wore an archival red-and-black Isaac Mizrahi gown styled by Law Roach, Megan Thee Stallion went for a red Kim Shui cut-out halter gown with tassels, and Emily Ratajkowski slung an orange Tory Burch skirt ultra-low on her hips, according to SI Swimsuit. The Sun also rounded up the night’s most daring looks.

Back in the Swimsuit issue

The night doubled as a victory lap. SI Swimsuit confirmed the brand legend will return to its 2027 issue after a photo shoot in Spain.

Translation: if you thought this dress was revealing, wait until the swimsuit pictures drop.
